SHOULD TAHHI LEAGUES BE SPLIT GEOGRAPHICALLY?
{ } yes
Forget all the variables involved in a geographic split or subdivision of TAHHI leagues. This is a simplistic, unscientific poll on whether you think the leagues should be divided. A geographic split is NOT simplistic. When you know the details, you may change your opinion. More on that later. For now, just reply to this email with your opinion. TENNIS E-News will report on the reply numbers next week.
Team Pre-registration for Spring Leagues Is TODAY; Team Entry Next Step
HILTON HEAD ISLAND SC (TENNIS E-News) -- The weather is supposed to warm up over the weekend, getting everyone in a mood, no doubt, for the USTA League spring season that will begin in late January … most likely under not-so-high temps, global warming or no.
Today is the deadline for team captains to get team information to the respective level coordinators so the process of scheduling, flight dividing or not, etc. Pre-registration includes info on the intention of having a team, the level, the home site and such. Once the coordinators process that information, captains will be notified of their team numbers. Next will come the Jan. 6 deadline for captains to get a minimum of six players registered on TennisLink. That's when the final scheduling will begin.
See list of level coordinators and how to contact them below.

Cameron Everett is Moving On
HILTON HEAD ISLAND SC (TENNIS E-News) -- It isn't just college football coaches who are changing scenery this season. Island Rec Center's Cameron Everett is moving on after holding down the head pro position at Chaplin Public Tennis Center since its opening earlier this century. The move will take him close to the rest of his family.
Cameron will be heading for Phoenix AZ at midmonth, leaving behind a full schedule of clinics, instruction, kids' programs and an active tennis center with growing numbers of USTA League teams. "If you want to hit some lighter tennis balls," he said, you can catch him in AZ.
