Amelia to Ponte Vedra

Passing Along a Note for Next April Tournament Travel

BEAUFORT SC (TENNIS E-NEWS) – Cathy McGill has a message for fellow travelers: “Tell everyone they can see all the same players (with the exception of four other top seeds) at the MPS Championships (formerly the Bausch & Lomb Championships at Amelia Island) at Sawgrass Bluff in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL the week before Family Circle Cup.”

She and a group of local tennis enthusiasts spent the week in Ponte Vedre in “very intimate atmosphere (very much like Amelia or Sea Pines) with quality tennis at a very affordable price, even for box seats.”

How about travel time? “It’s about 30 minutes farther,” she said.
