Full Schedule Starts Early

191 Players Breeeeeeeeeze into Semis and Finals of Luck of the Irish at PDunes

HILTON HEAD ISLAND SC (TENNIS E-NEWS) -- There are only two kinds of tennis courts, Tournament Director Jackie Reynecke can tell you. There is wet; then there is dry. Take dry any day. And take it they did, the remnants of 191 players who traded the Friday night drippings for early today bluster ... but dry … as the Luck of the Irish Doubles headed toward semifinals and finals Sunday at Palmetto Dunes Tennis Center.

Schedule backup necessitated going to the beloved 10-point super tiebreaks for third sets. Courts were full from early morning until well into the night.

Game over. Carolina wins. No other results reported. Goodbye Eastern Standard Time. Good riddance.

Exhibition Monday at PD

ooooO A dog is truly man's best friend.

( ) If you don't believe it, try this:

( ) Put your wife and your dog in the trunk of your car. Leave them there for one hour.

(___) When you open the trunk, which one will be really happy to see you?

-- Blame Billy for that one
