How the Process Works for Reconstruction of HHI High School Tennis Courts

HILTON HEAD ISLAND SC (TENNIS E-News) -- The schedule is set for reconstruction of the Hilton Head Island High School Tennis Courts that will include a complete makeover of court foundation, surface, fencing, etc.

Here's how it would work, as explained by Barry Taylor, court architect:

Bids were accepted Aug. 30. The bids are being reviewed. After that review, a Notice of Intent to Award will be issued to the lowest responsive bidder. After a state-required protest time period is cleared, that bidder will be sent to the School Board for the approval of the contract and the work will begin.

Thanks for the Social Signup and Volunteering; Also, You Better Check Your TAHHI Listing

HILTON HEAD ISLAND SC (TENNIS E-News) -- The "rain or shine" cookout Sunday for Tennis Association of HHI members was, ah, rained out. The round robin and social at Port Royal Racquet Club was a washout, but TAHHI's Pat Leinberger gave registered players and volunteers a big "thank you" and a hope everyone enjoyed the USOpen on TV.

Along with that came a reminder to all members to check the TAHHI website directory (http://www.tahhi.org) to be certain name, address and telephone number are correct. If the information is incorrect, you must contact USTA at 1-800-990-8782 or the website http://www.usta.com. Do not contact TAHHI. "We cannot change it," Leinberger said, adding, "If you do not change it, we cannot find you."
