Senior 3.5 Golden Bear Claws Win One; Adult 5.0 Islanders Lose Two

MOBILE AL (TENNIS E-News via TennisLink) -- Hilton Head Island's Senior Men's 3.5 Indigo Run Golden Bear Claws came back with a 2-1 win today in the USTA League Southern Sectional Championships after having lost two on Thursday. Not so successful the Adult 5.0 Men's Hilton Head Islanders.

The Claws, captained by Don Ross, have a must win on Saturday morning and then need lots of help from other teams in order to qualify for Sunday's final.

Meanwhile, the 5.0 Hilton Head Islanders, captained by Mike O'Regan, dropped a 2-1 match this morning to Mississippi/Oxford, winning the singles court but unable to catch either of the doubles. In the afternoon, North Carolina's Greensboro Green Valley took all three courts from the Islanders.
