The point is lost if The player or the racket, whether in the player’s hand or not, or anything which the player is wearing or carrying touches the net, net posts/singles sticks, cord or metal cable, strap or band, or the opponent’s court at any time while the ball is in play.

Dear Editor,

I met a truly honest person during the PTR International Tennis Symposium on Hilton Head Island in February. This is how it happened.

I rose early one morning to get a newspaper from a local newsstand. It was dark and raining. While getting my paper, I dropped my wallet. Later, back

in the room, I could not find it. I returned to the paper stand, but it was not there.

I was working at the PTR Trade Show when I received a call from Craig Wise. He is a local newspaper delivery person. He had found my wallet and went to extreme efforts to obtain my phone number, including calling one of the credit card companies. He found my number by visiting an island rental

agency and they had my records from a previous visit.

Mr. Wise insisted on bringing my wallet to me with all items intact. He refused to accept a reward, but I insisted. He finally agreed to accept the money when I suggested that he take a friend out to a nice restaurant and celebrate “being an honest man”.
