WARNING: All of today's Senior States matches were played in 8-game pro sets. The event's reporting system (TennisLink) is unable to handle pro-set scores. However, a score has to be entered to set up standings, so a result using a pre-calculated conversion table is recorded. Thus, Sean and Tom reported winning "6-1, 6-1" on TennisLink is a fake score.
TENNIS E-News has no idea what the real scores were -- whether they were 8-6 pro sets or 15-13 or whatever. And you can't find out either, unless you have the conversion code. The team courts won and lost are up, but not the pro-set scores.
P.S. -- Same situation last year. Progress is reported in nanoseconds. Do you have a 10-year-old who could help USTA with this?

6 HHI League Teams Advance to Semifinals of Senior State Championships
HILTON HEAD ISLAND SC (TENNIS E-News) --

Senior States Coordinators: "Yes, but it would have been nice if it had waited until Tuesday."
Six Hilton Head Island league teams played through rain-delayed pro-set rounds today and advanced to Monday semifinals and a seventh is unbeaten in a 4.5 round robin at the USTA League South Carolina State Championships playing out of Sea Pines Racquet Club and satellite sites throughout the island. The complete schedule Monday is going on as originally set, league officials said.
Matches involving the HHI league teams will be a SPRC, including two local teams facing each other in the Men's 3.0: HHI #4/Sea Pines Cardinals playing HHI #3/Shipyard Rockets. HHI's Women's 3.0 "Cinderella team", HHI #3/PD Dynamic Duos, will play PeeDee. The Men's 3.5 Low Country #1 will go against HHI #1/Indigo Run Golden Bear Claws. In Men's 4.0, Grand Strand #1 meets HHI's Port Royal and in Women's 4.0, Grand Strand #1 plays HHI #2/Indigo Run Racquettes.
HHI's #1 Women's 4.5 Indigo Run Golden Bearnaked Ladies are 3-0 in round robin play, with two matches scheduled Monday. They will have to win at least one of them to clinch the category championship.

Deadline Monday for 3rd annual Bluffton Today Open Tournament at Bluffton High
BLUFFTON SC (TENNIS E-News) -- The fun and games that is the Bluffton Today Open Tennis Tournament will take place next weekend, May 16-18, with Bluffton High School courts as home base for the 3rd annual BTO and nearby satellite sites also to be used. Entry deadline is Monday. That's tomorrow.
Men's, women's and mixed doubles will be played in combined ratings of 5.0, 6.0, 7.0 and 8.0 levels. Junior singles will go on in boys’ and girls’ 12 and under and 16 and under. Tournament Director Bob Brown will have a number of side events all weekend, including a silent auction and new Beat-the-Pro competition. For information, call Brown at 290-2833.
