What follows is our best effort at the scavenger hunt that is finding schedule updates for the USTA League Senior State Championships -- Finding what was updated from the original schedule and what not, then adding in the teams that Hilton Head Island league entrants are facing.
A late-day Tuesday call to HHI's Senior Men's Coordinator Don Grider that two Spartanburg teams had canceled resulted in the addition of an HHI #5 team in 3.0s added -- Sun City Challengers, Frank Frankel, captain.
Game on … but with this forewarning from the USTA SC Tennis website: NOTE: Due to team withdrawals several of the draws have been modified. Please check your draw for updated times and locations.
Please note that all players should make preparations to be at the State Adult League Championships, ready to play, from the times indicated on the schedule until the completion of match play, as the draw is subject to change. Only captains will be notified of changes in the draw. It is the responsibility of the captain to notify team players of any changes. Therefore, it is the player’s responsibility to inform the captain where he/she can be reached at all times.

( ) Four golfers are fuming over the incredible slowpokes in the foursome in front of them. Said one:
( ) "I've never seen such inept golf!" They stopped the greenskeeper riding by and complained. "Oh, they
(___) are blind firefighters," he said, "the ones who lost their sight saving our clubhouse from a fire last year. We always let them play for free anytime." The group fell silent for a moment. Then one said, "Why can't they play at night?"
