Adult Women's 3.5 Playoff -- Although not posted on TennisLink, TENNIS E-News has it on reliable authority that Indigo Run (Captain: Fab Kendall) defeated Port Royal (Captain: Jane Allen) 3-2 and will advance to SC Adult States in Greenville. Stay tuned.

Monday Road to Sectionals

PD States or Busts in Finals, Alley Cats in Semis at USTA League Adult States

HILTON HEAD ISLAND SC (TENNIS E-News by TennisLink) -- The Palmetto Dunes States or Busts made it by one court. The Bluffton HS Alley Cats went 3-0 in team matches. Both women's teams made it to Monday in the South Carolina Adult State Championships in Charleston.

The Women's 4.5 PD gals, captained by Michelle Clark, reversed a Saturday loss to Lexington Tennis Complex, taking a 3-2 team win to finish in a tie with Lexington for group #1. The S.o.B.'s had a 15-5 courts won/loss record; LTC was 14-6, putting PD into Monday's final against Greenville Sportsclub.

The Alley Cats, captained by Dianne Austin, did it the "easy" way -- by winning all three team matches -- and now will meet Low Country #1 Daniel Island in Monday's semifinal. The winner will advance to midday finals against the winner of the Grand Strand vs. Greenwood match.

None of the five other Hilton Head Island league teams at States came close to advancing to Monday play.

As in the Senior States just concluded, the Adult winners will advance in July to the Southern Section Championships in Mobile AL against teams from Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina and Tennessee.
